i have two birds and one is 2 yrs old and one is 6 months old. i bought a bath tube and the 2yrs old one can go outside. so i put the bathtube and let the bird wash himself, but all he do is just fly away from the bathtube like the bathtube is a monster. any idea how to make him go to the bathtube?

You can not make them bath. Put a shallow pan of water in the cage so they can walk in it to get used to water. They may get the idea to bath. You can also spray them with warm water and they should preen.

Birds prefer more naturally bathing methods as what they would find in the wild. A small dish or lid of water is much better suited to them as in the wild they would just bathe in a shallow puddle.
With the lid then can walk across and and drop down low and wash themselves as that’s what they do prefer.
If your birds continue to refuse to use it, then your only other option is giving them a light misting with the hose or a spray bottle. They can enjoy this method as well.

lock him in the bath and scream, shake & pound the bath tub like a parent at their children.

Try a spray bottle with warm water in and gently spray them with a very fine water mist, this may help get them used to water on their feathers, but don’t go poking the spray bottle in the cage try to do it from afar so it doesn’t scare them, try to do it as if it were raining.
This is the best I can do so I hope it helps as I used to do this with my parrots and once they got used to it on seeing the spray would lift their wings to be sprayed, they loved it.
    Kind regards,Yorkie.

All birds bathe, some birds take dust baths, but most wash in water. If you hovering over them they are not going to. Leave some clean shallow water in the bottom of their cage and they will eventually go in it.

Depending on what kind of bird you have you might not want to get a bath that has a mirror on the bottom because they will not go in it then. It could also be that the weather is too cold or some environmental thing.
