An Inconvenient Truth

Well I don’t like to litter, but I’m not gonna clean up the mess they made
Dern right I’m bitter, farmers can’t even afford to sell their hay
And the crops don’t grow ‘cause the air’s too cold
And where’s the sun and the heat and why is there snow?
And these politicians aint scientists, man what do they know?
Do they expect us to believe whatever we’re told?
Here’s how it really goes…

They love to conserve, but they aint conservatives
They like to be right, but they aint Republicans
They try and save all the animals, but what about the people?
We don’t have enough money to live even though it’s a free-world
And they don’t know how much a baby’s life is worth
I wish they cared about us the way they care about the Earth

Well it’s so cold we can’t even afford to eat
‘Cause it’s pay for the food or pay for the heat
And it’s the same with the neighbors who live down the street
Whether they sleep in beds or on hard concrete
And who cares about the bird that’s going extinct
Or whether or not there’s a few less fish in the stream
Just stop and take a moment to think
If the world can’t afford it, what’s the point in being ‘green’?

I haven’t seen the Al Gore movie but I pretty much know how it goes and I know the song isn’t perfect yet but I kinda wrote it really fast out of boredom and the desire to postpone calculus homework =)
@that person: To answer your other question, T.I. is one of the worst rappers. The only good part is the JT chorus…I’m just sayin
