Heating pad over night for baby birds?

I’m trying to raise some baby blackbirds that have fallen out of their nest. The mom built the nest in the wall of my barn. The babies couldn’t stay in it, I’ve tried putting them back several times and they fall again. One died from the fall onto a concrete floor. I took the other three this morning. I’ve been feeding them every hour and they seem to be doing well. Every time I feed them I give them two hot water bottles. I’m worried about them getting too cold over night in the house with the AC on. They are nestled together in some straw on one side of the box with a hot water bottle on each side. Would it be ok to wrap a heating pad in a wash cloth and put it on the other side of the box, leaving it on a low setting overnight?

Animal noises outside at night…?

I’m just curious as to what sort of animal might make this noise. I’ll do my best to describe it. It’s pretty high pitched, and sounds like a rolling sound, almost like a cat purring. It’s also pretty loud. The animal is on the first floor, outside at night with the frogs and crickets, and I can hear it upstairs. It might be echoing off the concrete retaining wall though. It sounds almost like a dinosaur…!

I’ve looked online at animal noise websites and it’s similar to those made by certain squirrels and chipmunks. I just don’t know if it’s a weird cat, a bird, a rodent, or what. I tried recording it to no avail, my little laptop mic won’t pick it up.

I live in central Oregon if it helps. Websites with audio clips would be greatly appreciated.
I’m 19 by the way…I find it funny that someone thought I was a little kid. I’m serious though, it sounds kind of like a dinosaur. =D

it gets way louder than this. some times it’s deafening. but this makes it all worth it. if the wildlife claims this to be their home, then i think i did a good job… before i built this pond, there wasn’t much going on at night… i love it. plus every night about 5 or 6:00 the birds take their bird baths at the top of the waterfall

Last night in my dream a woman was reading my future using taro cards then drew a purple bird…?

she said that the purple bird was me and she explained what that meant but I couldn’t hear her. I looked around the web for the significance of a purple bird but found nothing concrete?
Does somebody knows what it could mean?
