Our fountain is a barn stone with a hole drilled through the middle. So the water goes up the middle then runs down the rock into an underground reservoir. We have larvae that has attached itself all over the stone. I know it is mosquito larvae because we took a couple off to see what they turned into. Is there anyway to kill these things. My dogs drink off of it and the birds land on it to drink and take baths. I saw they have mosquito dunks but with the water always running I don’t think they would work. Any ideas?
There is no pond. No place to put fish. No standing water. The water just runs down the stone. Kinda like a pondless waterfall. I’m not sure the dunks will work because I think you need still water for those. The larvae feeds on the dunks and that is what kills them I believe.
