Just put a little plastic bird bath in his cage and he’ll give himself a bath. Birds just love water.
more than likely he bathes in his water bowl. Do not bath him as normal pet in a tub or sick. offer him a dish of water at the bottom of his cage and he will bathe himself if needed. Birds also prin to stay clean
When I had birds I bathed them and used a Blow Dryer on a medium setting to dry them in cool months. In summer I let them dry on their own.
Let the bird into the sink with the water running and the drain unstopped so it wont fill up. Your bird might want to play around in that.
im pretty sure its okay as long as you dont over due it with the water and drown the bird
Of course it is. Just use a spray bottle to spray it or you can put a bowl of water in the cage and it will probably bathe itself.
I used to take showers with a parrot- she loved it. It was like a tropical rain for her and she would sing her heart out.
I assume you have a parrot.
You don’t have to bathe him, he’ll do it himself. If he’s tame set a bowl of water near him and he’ll climb in and splash around. If he stays in his cage then pick up one of those birdbaths that hook onto the cage and give it to him.
Birds love to bathe. Some will even perch in the shower at the edge of the spray but I don’t recommend that until you see how the bird reacts to his bath. Good luck!
Yeah, some pet stores sell little birdie bath tubs for the little guys, so it’s fine as long as the air is warm.
that is why there is a bird bath for birds to cool off
Not in the traditional sense with soap and water. IF you have a small bird, go to a petstore, and they sell bird baths for the appropriate sized bird. IF you have a large parrot, use a spray bottle filled with room temperature water and spray above them so it falls down on them like rain.
My Sister had a bird one of the big colorful ones she would put him near the kitchen sink and turn the faucet on and he would go under the faucet himself it was so adorable =-)
It is ok to give your bird a bath just makesure the water is not to hot or to cold, I sometimes bring by birds into the shower with me and he loves it.
Yup, it’s okay to give your bird a bath.
Just put a small amount of water in a sprayer,
and then sprinkle some water on your bird.
But don’t do that outside especially if there’s some cats!
I give my parrot a bath 3 x a week. Also, you can spray him with warm water in a spray bottle. They need to have a bath to help thier skin.
I fill a shallow bowl with water and put it next to his cage, he gets in when he wants to and loves it. do not use any soap or anything, just clear water.
Yes. You have to spray him with hot water though.
let him give himself a bath.
It is reasonable to get a bird bath but put it inside. Then you can let your bird take it’s own bath.
yes, even a lite misting is good, and good fresh water is best.
Yes most birds love to bathe in your water dish. Make sure the water is cool.
Best Of Luck Joe
My bird will take a bath in the water bowl. So I got him a large water bowl .. He loves it. And I have a spray bottle that I spray him with. But I hold him while I spray him slowly not to piss him off. And he takes showers with me from time to time.
