How do you make a bird bath with glass or broken plate pieces embedded into it?

I saw a bird bath that was really pretty, it had broken pieces of plate embedded throughout it (different colors and small pieces). I think its a really neat idea, can anyone tell me how to go about making one? Thanks!!!

take a pottery class using clay as the base and embed the glass pieces into the top and bottom of the bird feeder

It’s a mosaic. Go to a craft store and get a garden mosaic kit. If you have a Michael’s’ crafts near you, you’re in luck, they always have them.
Go get an inexpensive bird bath and instead of making the mosaic flat in the mold that comes with the kit, spread the cement in the bird bath, apply the mosaic tiles in your pattern and let it dry following the manufacturer’s directions.
It’s inexpensive and effective. If you like it, then go and spend more money if you want, but I’ve done this as gifts, it works great. By the way, you need a bird bath that is cement to begin with.
    Good luck.

Simple, get quick set cement, some in small bags, press in broken pieces. You can use grout the next day to fill in the gaps. wipe the boken pieces clean each time to prevent cement adhesian. Read directions. Wait a few days for everything to cure. you can use a water resistent sealer over everything. Cheaper than hobby store kits. All this info is assuming you have a cement bird bath. If it is a plastic birth bath use plastic waterproof adhesives. Good luck

FYI most of the birdbaths I’ve seen done like that use broken pottery rather than mosaic tiles. Go to a thrift store or yard sale and find some plates that you like. Cover them with a towel to prevent injury from flying pieces and shatter them using a hammer. Use these pieces to make your mosaic. You might start out practicing on a flat paving stone until you feel confident enough to do the mosaic work on the shaped surface of the birdbath. Have fun! :)
