As long as you use the yard sprinklers, they will not use the baths much. Consider that they have to “work” by splashing themselves with water vs. standing under the sprinklers. Putting the baths in an area without sprinklers will help, as will hanging a feeder nearby.

Keep it filled and be sure it is in the open. Mine has cover in the form of a butterfly bush 10′ away. Also make sure there are no cats or hawks anywhere around.

I also have a bird bath and the birds didnt seem to come to it , I have since moved it to an out of way part of the garden and hey presto the birds like a little privacy when they bathe !

set up a ‘dripper’ in it… birds love moving water!!… I have a small dripping waterfall sorta deal on one of mine and they’ll go to it long before one of the ‘quiet’ ones….

Keep the container and the water clean, place it far enough away from highly trafficked areas and make sure your cat or dog don’t harass the birds. If you put out a heated bath in the winter, I guarantee the birds will come.
