Charlie the parrot taking a bird bath

Charlie is an incredibly spoiled green cheeked conure. At second 2, you can hear him say, “Want a bath?”

So cute. I used to have one just like Charlie, we didn’t clip her wings so she flew out the door when I wasn’ t looking…

Great video!! Sometimes I wonder whether conures are really parrots, or rather water fowl…my green-cheeked conure, Birk, loves bathing too. She likes to share her fun though, so I always get soaking wet too! Check it out under “Birk bathing violently”

I have never seen a bird having this much fun in the water! He just keeps on going. I have a GCC and a sun conure, and I’m teaching them to bathe in the sink too. I have to keep my hand in there so they feel safe, then when they’re done with their baths they climb back up my arm. Last week they were still nervous about it, but tonight they actually got in the sink and had fun like Charlie!

I know, theres even a stopper in the drain, that bird is perfectly safe, I’m just making fun of the comments people make on other videos of this sweet happy conure.

okay if you watch birds aren’t as dumb as you think. i meanif you look closely every time he gets to the edg of the drain, he hops over it,orjumps around it.

  11. Axelpeddle says:

OMG, this is so dangerous, he could drowned in this water! Or he could get sucked down the drain and ground up in the garbage disposal! or a hawk could swoop in from a window and eat him. you should keep him in a cage, so you can have pet cats and he’ll be safe.

After 2 years of calling Charlie a “she”, I had him DNA tested and found out he’s a boy. He says, “Peekabird,” “Hi Charlie!” “Want a bath?” “Poop, poop, Charlie,” and “You’re a pretty bird.” I don’t think I really taught him how. He just learned it on his own, since I spend lots of time with him, I talk to him all the time when I’m at home, and I tend to repeat myself. He just caught on!

This is awesome. Do you know if Charlie is a boy and I take it he talks? How did you do it?
